Last time I visited the Heat Online website I realized at the bottom of the page was a created with Joomla! software logo. I was surprised to see this because Joomla! is a free software tool that website designers use. I consider it to be a way of designing a site on the cheaper side.
It leaves me wondering how much money Innologin Ltd. (the company that is handling Heat Online's publishing) is working with. I'm sure they haven't spent that much money on marketing. Although they have done some simple facebook marketing by allowing people to Like their site.
I haven't seen any new videos on Youtube or any kind of social marketing besides the Like button. This is pretty discouraging; I don't see how they think this game is going to grow without any kind of marketing whatsoever. Each time I pay their site a visit I'm getting more surprised that it is even up still. I wonder what kind of population growth they are shooting for, but from what I can tell the game is pretty stagnant.

Project Torque Review
One thing you will notice right away is it takes a very long time to download. I have a new computer, so anyone with a bit of an old computer better prepare for a long download.
The first time the game was not all that excited. It worked very well in high-end graphics. I tried the single player mission, which gives a great decline of what you need to get started. But I got bored with the missions .. A week later or so, tried again and this time tried the multiplayer. Then I realized this game had me hooked!
The graphics are really good, especially for a free game to play. The outdoor camera is nice, but maybe not very realistic in the chamber. You can see the steering wheel, mirrors, even the heater control panel and other display! I was also surprised at the character inside the car. His (or her) arms are actually shown in motion according to your address. For now, you can only choose a man or woman of your avatar, but in the future will allow for personalization. I can not wait!
The cars are very well designed. There are a lot of fun to drive (especially when you have the camera inside a). The maps have amazing detail. It is not absolutely perfect, but when ever? It is very pleasant to drive around.
The missions are good to get started. They also provide a nice challenge. But online gaming has a lot of variety. There are few ways. Not the regular race course. There is a way to explore, which run around the large maps and things round pick (some with power-ups, or low). Has the most wins in the end. There is a race car, which is high speed and very realistic. No one liked me because I was in first and crashed against a person who did not move, then it was in the last ... But it is a very intense race. There is also a drift mode, where the drift is assumed, among others.
I was surprised how easy it is to get money (RP) and experience. You can come late and still get something. There is no pay for gas or repairs, thoug you sometimes have to repair (I think it adds realism good). Careers and explore ways usually not too long, but very funny and very well rewarded. You can play a game at any time, so casual players or players with ADD can still have fun.
The controls in this game are pretty simple. I think you can connect a wheel, which makes it very fun. Otherwise, not too difficult to play. There are good physical in this game, so the races are pretty participation, and you still have to stay on their toes. Drifting can be a little tricky, but once you try it a couple of times to be able to make some surprising twists.
The sound effects are pretty good. His usual hum of the engines, etc. The music is also pretty good and fits in the game. But if you want more variety you can put your own mp3 files!
Cars are a feast for the eyes, and with a lot of interior details, have fun driving them. Unfortunately, some of them can only be purchased with cash (which is, like the actual stores, incredibly expensive). However, given a couple of cars as you play and you can still buy some. Customization is not much for performance. There are some nice styling features that is very affordable (a pair of runs for a spoiler). This is an area that still needs to expand.
In short, this game is pretty amazing for a free game. I think it can compete with games like Project Gotham Racing and the likes. It's free! The shop owner is very expensive, as most are, but the positive side, it means that you can still play for free and the content is often added. Unlike a game to buy everything, this game will keep improving and get updated.
Anyone who likes racing games, or even some who really do not, you can enjoy this. It's easy to get into it quickly, which is good for casual gamers, and is also highly addictive, ideal for intense gamers. I suggest you have a good computer to play this, since the graphics are very good at the top. Some people have trouble controlling the cars, but some people learn quickly.
If you, like me, often come in free to play with low expectations, you will be happy to find this. And hopefully, because it is online and is funded by a cash shop, which will continue with new players and new content.

Graphics Card Dying
I am saddened to say that I believe my graphics card for my desktop is dying. My wife and I started noticing a problem with the graphics on PC games a couple weeks ago.
At first it appeared the screen would stuttering for a few seconds. We thought it might have been the Internet connection, because sometimes we would have lag problems, especially if there was a lot of players on screen at once.
Then the games began loading more slowly and there would be small graphical glitches momentarily. Plus the screen stuttering persisted and grew gradually longer in how long it would take for the lag to clear.
Now sometimes it can take more than five minutes for a game to load. When it does finally load there is no way of knowing if it will even be playable. Sometimes the screen will freeze up and other times it will look like a jumble of objects.
I have had this computer for over six years now, so I should have known that I would need to upgrade soon if I wanted to keep playing the newest games. I'm not sure if I want to spend the money upgrading my computer. I don't play as many games as I used to, and I can just buy a replacement graphics card for fifty dollars.

Racing for the Nintendo 3DS
I purchased a Nintendo 3DS on March 27th the day it was first available in the United States. I didn't own a DS system, but I wanted to try out the 3DS after reading so much about it online.
I am very impressed with its graphics, the 3D effect delivers. I think it would be a great platform to bring racing games too. Maybe something like Project Torque on the 3DS. I know it would have to be a totally different graphics engine, but the online races, experience, and shop could make the same type of game.
I think the 3D graphic effects will work great with a racing game. I can't even begin to unravel how they make the screen work. The best way I can describe it, it feels like you are looking at a movable and ever changing holographic image. The sense of depth it gives you is amazing.
It would be awesome playing a racing game against another person; we are in a tight race. Having the cars continually passing each other as they fight for the lead.

Heat Online Reviews from Forum
On the Heat Online official forums they have a section where players can review the game. I wanted to share a couple reviews that I thought were accurate and well written.
Over the whole game going in the right direction. However, looking forward to seeing all the game modes and cars when if goes live. If you are not going to be a SIM mode I would like to see a little better balance between sim and arcade handling. I want to see that support for the G27 shifter H. I especially like the game and have plans to keep playing as long as possible. Thanks for bringing it back to the U.S.
LEVELING - seems OK. Been playing fairly rigorous for a week and a half or two weeks and I'm at level 35. Therefore exp gain seems fine. There is so slow that I just want to stop playing, but not as fast as you level up in a week and bored because he has nothing but wait.
RP and VEHICLE COST - I think this needs some work. The rental system is fine, you can rent a car for 7 days to try to see if you like before buying a permanent ... but do not see many users choose the option of 30 days and get only save permanent. Perhaps instead of seven days and 30 day options in the store, offering three days and 7 days instead of options. But the constant purchase prices of the cars is quite high outrageous. It is not like running without stopping for 6 months to buy a single car. Or the cost of the cars have to go down, or the xp / rp% bonus some of the high-class cars have to climb gices. Or a combination of both.
VARIETY - Well, obviously, because it is in beta will not have the entire contents of the final version (hopefully) More cars, more tracks, CBC mode, etc are expected to make their way at some point. And the addition of a sim management option would be a great benefit because it gives the option of using sim arcade or arcade rather than just open doors for double players possible. Despite what I read, the staff of heat seems to be against this for some reason I can not understand.
EVENTS - There are plenty of them, and ways and issues vary greatly which is good. The only problem I have is with the events of the awards-class cars (like the kind of 6 cars WGT) is open without restrictions. This can not be a problem in the future if more players at higher levels ... but at the moment all this does is allow people who already have these cars to make more of them and people without them can not compete against them because the only way he can beat people is to have the car (s) These events reward. So a handful of people is increasingly more of these cars, while the rest of us get nothing. So basically, you need to have more class / car / events for awards restricted type of high level and less open class so it is more about ability rather than what the car is driving.
So in short, setting the game is good, we just have more content added, a SIM option, and events to be a little more fair for everyone.

Advertising on Site
I was visiting the Heat Online website and when I scrolled down to the bottom of the page I noticed they had a Google Ads section under advertisers. I was shocked to see that, I know having G-ads on your site doesn't really bring up the value of the site and it makes your site look cheap/unprofessional.
Later I saw someone post there was 40 players online at that moment and that it was a busy night. 40 players is a busy night? Oh my, I think this game is in a lot more trouble than I first thought. Clearly it is a new site and a new publisher so there is going to be some lag in getting people to play the game and getting their name out there. But still 40 players, this game has a lot of ground to make up.
One bright spot I saw was they have a facebook like button on their site. So far they have just over 1,500 people that like Heat Online. I think this is a pretty good number and hopefully facebook can help advertise the game and get more players to play. I think it is a great game that shouldn't be overlooked.

Miss Old Single Player
I really liked how the old single player was. I am talking about it's very first implementation where you couldn't progress through the single player unless you beat the mission you were on.
This was very difficult and it took me several try's to beat the very first mission where you have to drive around this desert area and reach the checkpoints before time runs out. I had so much trouble in fact I had to look up online for some help and tips. But man was I satisfied when I beat that mission and I was able to progress to the other missions.
I hate how you have to play multiplayer races in order to get keys to unlock missions. The single player missions barely give you any type of RP or EXP so why do I have to spend time racing other players if I just want to try and beat some other part of the game?
Although it was exceedingly challenging I did find the single player enjoyable and I actually found it more fun after they gave you three victory options of gold, silver and bronze. I can usually get bronze on my first try, but it will take me a few try's before I can beat it on silver and even more time and effort if I want to beat it on gold.
